He earned his M.B.B.S. and M.D. (Internal Medicine) degrees from SCB Medical College (MCI Recognised) at Utkal University in Orissa, India. He is knowledgeable about Biological Therapies, Ultrasound Guided Diagnosis, and Joint Procedures. He was one of the first rheumatologists in his nation to employ Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and to initiate Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Workshops and training for Rheumatology trainees and other Rheumatologists. He offers cutting-edge therapies for the vast majority of rheumatic illnesses. Prasan Deep Rath is also the director and head of the rheumatology department at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Delhi. He was among the first to introduce Nail Fold Capillaroscopy into clinical practise.
