Dr. Jayanta Kumar Das is a well-known Indian ophthalmologist. He is one of just a few eye specialists in the country with a PhD. He focuses in Orbit and Oculoplasty, Cataract Surgery, and Neuro-Ophthalmology. Aside from his significant clinical experience in eye care, his excellent contribution as a teacher for undergraduate and postgraduate students is widely recognised by the student community. His dedicated healthcare service to individuals ranging from the most economically and socially disadvantaged to the most affluent has greatly benefited North East India. He is the General Secretary of the Assam Ophthalmic Society. He is a senior consultant at The Retina Centre.
